Nov 4-8 2015 I had the great joy of participating in Ke∂ja Hammerfest and the coinciding Dance Festival Barentsin Finnmark, Norway. Lots of great and inspiring people, talks, performances, food and beautiful nature!
This short dance film grew out of a reflection on a state of being constantly connected to and dependent on digital devices, and the mental pull that it can have on us. Filmed during SEANSE residency at Volda University College, Norway, in June 2014.

I am pleased to announce that my dance film ENCOUNTER, created in collaboration with Run Shayo and Tori Sparks, will be presented at MOVIEHOUSE today, Sunday January8th 2012, 7pm, alongisde Under the Metal, Skin by Alexx Shilling.
So, if you find yourself in Williamsburg Sunday evening, come on by!
ENCOUNTER explores the curiosity, fear and mistrust that is so common when faced with something (or someone) unfamiliar, and the constant shift between resistance and acceptance, to finally arrive at a place of humbleness and mutual understanding.
The video is in two parts, and originally screened as part of a commissioned piece for dance, video and string quartet in five sections to music by Magnar Åm.
